Captain Video was created out of a need to find a way to air 12 min segments of B westerns. It first aired in 1949 on the DuMont network. It became the most popular show on tv and aired in prime time 6 nights a week. Over 1500 episodes were recorded. In 1973 some unknown person destroyed all but 7 episodes. I have only been able to find 4 myself.

Due to the popularity of the TV show in 1951 Columbia Studios started filming cliff hanger episodes for distribution in movie theaters. 15 of the cliffhangers were produced I have all of them here.
